Privacy policy
Pre-launch version — this policy covers the waitlist period. A fuller policy covering entries, payments and accounts will be published before entries open on 1 August 2026.
Who we are
Win the Waves ("we") operates this website and the Win The Waves prize draw. Contact us at hello@winthewaves.com.
What we collect, and why
Waitlist email address. If you join the waitlist we store the email address you give us, the time you consented, and the time you confirmed via the link we email you (double opt-in). We use it for one purpose: to email you about Win The Waves — first access when entries open, prize reveals and draw news.
Lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time — every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us and we'll remove you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your email address with anyone.
- We don't load advertising or analytics cookies without your consent — see the cookie policy.
- We don't collect anything else during pre-launch. No accounts, no payment details, no profiling.
How long we keep it
Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after the first draw completes — whichever comes first — and is then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@winthewaves.com and we'll act on it promptly. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Where it's stored
Waitlist data is stored on infrastructure inside the UK/EEA or in countries with UK adequacy, with access limited to the team operating the draw.
